It's pretty a straight forward process, but there can be hiccup for some.

Firstly, make sure you use a Chrome browser to do this.  Secondly, make sure you are using a real service pack screen. Then we can proceed.

Step 1

Go to this website:

Step 2

Follow the instruction on the page.

Step 3

Turn off the device, enter Fastboot mode.

Connect the phone to PC.

Step 4

Select Pixel 6 and accept the connection on browser.

Step 5

install the software.

Step 6

Wait while it does it's job.

Step 7

Once it's finish, the phone will restart.

Test the fingerprint now.

Note Again: It only works with Service Pack screen and Google Chrome Browser.

One cannot just replace the whole front camera module when fixing an iPhone with Face ID.

The old Face ID part needs to be kept as it's uniquely encrypted to the device.

Here's a step by step demo working on a iPhone 13 Pro Max front camera flex.

Step 1

Cut the metal frame to remove the old camera from the module.

Step 1.2

Using a heat gun to melt the glue (works best at 200 C), and take out the old camera.

Step 1.3

This is how it looks after the removal.

Step 2

Repeat the same procedure to extra new front camera from the new module.

Step 3.1

Now it's time to mix the ingredients.

Add super glue to the corners of the original module.

Step 3.2

Add the new camera to the original Face ID.

Put it back.

Working now.

This is how to change add front camera back to old Face ID module. 

For other models it is roughly the same but can be slightly different.

Well, this iPad is not charging. How do you determine whether to change battery, charging port or fix motherboard?

A Tristar Tester will help you work it out quick.

Step 1

Plug it in.

This one shows a caution sign, indicating a faulty U2 IC.

Step 2

Press the right button to run a scan.

Step 3

The result reads All Tristar/Hydra test has failed.

This confirms that U2 IC is faulty, you quote customer for the repair now.

Step 4

Repair the IC..

Step 5

Test again. The caution sign shown before is gone.

Step 6

Click the button to run a quick test, if "PASS!" then congrats!

If not you can repeat the steps to fix other issues.

This device saves us a lot of debugging time.

It means some component on the circuit is shorted or there's a power leakage somewhere on the board.

Step 3

We use this Seek thermal camera to scan the device for hot spot.

Plug it into an iPhone and open the app.

Step 4

It's not too hard to spot the Audio IC is heated to 30 C Degree.

Step 5

Change IC to fix the issue.

Step 6

Hook the power supply back to motherboard and check.

On the left, it's a US version factory stock. The home button is sitting horizontally. The Aussie version has a tilted home button. 

If you want to use this screen, then you will need to cut the hole bigger to fit the Aussie home button.

So avoid when possible.

In the middle, this is a Oz version factory stock. The home button on the screen will not work.

All you need to do it to move the old home button to this screen and it will work fine. 

On the right is the genuine service pack screen. You can use the new screen and new home button without any issue.

How to tell whether it's a genuine service pack?

The competition is becoming stiff on the market, so a lot of places are selling factory stock and make them look like a Service Pack.

There's one easy way to tell them apart:

The service pack will usually come with a "Caution" sticker note at the front.

Another way to tell is when you cannot recalibrate the fingerprint sensor on Google site, then it's a factory stock.

Why Use a Universal Home Button Flex Cable

When you replace the home button for iPhone 7/8/7 Plus/8 Plus/SE2, the home button will not be functional. It's due to encryption on the buttons.

There are a few ways to make this working.

The best solution is to use a universal home button flex. It bypasses the encrypt and restore the pressing function for a home button (But not touch ID). So customer can still use an original Apple home button which is higher quality.

Cut the home button flex off the screen.
